Welcome to the CSRA Regional Science & Engineering Fair, Inc. We are a
private non-profit organization designed to aid schools, teachers, and students
in developing an interest in all aspects of science and engineering through the
science fair project. We are based in Augusta, Georgia and serve 18 counties in
the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) which includes portions of both Georgia
and South Carolina. Every year, we sponsor a Regional Science Fair in the spring
to bring the first place winners from local school science fairs for a
competition. |

Congratulations to all our
exhibitors and winners at this year's CSRA Regional Science &
Engineering Fair. We had many outstanding projects and exhibits.
We hope that everyone enjoyed doing their science projects and that they
will continue to have an interest in science. We also would like to
thank the parents, teachers, and mentors who encouraged the students.

We are always
looking for VOLUNTEERS. THIS YEAR WE PARTICULARLY NEED PEOPLE TO HELP
JUDGE LOCAL SCHOOL FAIRS. Judging generally takes four to five hours at a
school. Anyone with enthusiasm and some background in math, engineering or the
sciences is welcome. New judges are paired with an experience person (no reason
to be nervous). To volunteer, please proceed to the judging
page. In addition, we are looking to expand our support base away from the
Savannah River Site by recruiting from area businesses and the community. We
need help doing many different things including fund raising, publicity,
community outreach and, for the truly interested, serving on the Board of
Directors. The Science Fair is a year-round activity with peaks and lulls of
activity and most roles and functions do not require a lot of time. If you
can help in any way, or if you have any suggestions or comments about the way we
have run the CSRA Regional Science & Engineering Fair, please contact one of
the board members listed on the Contacts
page or send a message to us at:

This group is staffed by unpaid volunteer science and educational
professionals from throughout the CSRA. Funds raised are totally used to support local and
regional fairs, and for travel expenses to the International Fair for regional winners.
There is no individual student fee.
Our meetings are open to the public. We will
meet on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. Unless otherwise indicated,
our meetings will be in the Deans Conference Room at the Medical College of Georgia (on
Laney Walker Blvd, in Augusta). Call one of our contacts
for directions or other information.
